

Citizens against Redevelopment Zone / Warehouse in Monroe Township - "Mink Lane Project"
The Issue
Redevelopment plan proposed in Monroe Twp, Gloucester County between Sicklerville Road and Mink Lane, Williamstown. Proposed 40+ loading dock warehouse in our neighborhood along with additional 39-house development.
Besides being devastating to the immediate neighborhood with noise and light pollution, in our opinion, it will be a daily visual eyesore. It will cause a negative impact to those traveling on Sicklerville Road with a dramatic increase in traffic. It will also dramatically affect property values of homes nearby.
Additional proposed 39- home development with one entrance and exit on Mink Lane was allowed to obtain approvals to previously denied variances due to the warehouse project which changed this to a redevelopment zone....without input from the community.
Issues in our opinion: traffic volume, variances bypassed for smaller lot sizes and buffer zones. Again, which were previously denied by our zoning board. This allows more homes shoehorned into this land between Mink Lane and Schoolhouse Gate.
