The Issue

NH National Guard and the Selectmen of Whitfield NH are considering allowing the NH National Guard to move Black Hawk Helicopter Training to the Mount Washington Regional Airport in Whitefield, NH.  This small regional airport boarders a National Wildlife Refuge and this training would be harmful to the habitat of the unique birds and wildlife that live there. Additionally this would create immense noise pollution for local residents and tourists who live and travel to this location for the beauty, peace and serenity that is offered by the White Mountain National Forest and it's neighboring communities. This move would also cost taxpayers millions of additional dollars to build a new facility.  Please sign this petition to ask the Whitefield Selectmen to ask the NH National Guard to keep the training facility where it is currently located in Concord NH, already at an Army Air facility.  Help keep the North Country Serene and Beautiful!
