We, the undersigned, urge the Nantucket Selectboard to promote Deputy Chief Sean Mitchell to the position of Fire Chief.  Deputy Chief Mitchell is a proven leader who has the trust of his fellow firefighters.  He leads from the front.  He is a dedicated family man who has lived on Nantucket for many years.  We urge you to take this action in the interest of public safety and common sense.
