Circle time for kids at the community clubhouse
The Issue
Several dad’s and mom’s found joy in gathering with neighbors for a simple circle time, a cherished communal activity where kids get to develop and grow, stories were shared, songs were sung, and life-long friendships were forged. Now, as a parent in our wonderful community, I want to provide the same enriching experience for our children at the HOA clubhouse.
Currently, the HOA policies restrict these kinds of gatherings due to the pre approval and deposit requirement for clubhouse usage. Depriving the children of our neighborhood from invaluable social interactions and educational benefits. It is a missed opportunity to foster a sense of unity and inclusion among our youngest residents. Our children would greatly benefit from the social, emotional, and cognitive development that comes with such interactions.
Numerous studies show that activities like circle time improve literacy skills, enhance communication and listening skills, and build empathy among participants. For instance, a study by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) highlights that regular group activities can help children build better social competencies and increase their overall enthusiasm for learning. Respectful and competent kids will benefit our entire neighborhood for years to come.
Moreover, allowing circle-time in our HOA clubhouse can be easily implemented and managed to abide by all rules. These gatherings can be organized to respect all safety guidelines, including supervised sessions, manageable group sizes, and scheduled times to ensure the clubhouse remains clean for years to come and all guidelines are followed. This proposal is not only feasible but aligns with our community's values of fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
By opening our doors to circletime, we offer our children the chance to learn from each other, make friends, and create memories that they will cherish for years to come. It's a simple, yet profoundly impactful change that benefits all residents.
Let's unite in this cause for the betterment of our children and community. Sign this petition to urge our HOA to allow circletime at the clubhouse, ensuring our children have the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing and vibrant space.
