Disclose CEO compensation @ CIRA
Disclose CEO compensation @ CIRA

CIRA members passed a motion to disclose CEO compensation at the 2020 AGM. The Board has chosen to ignore that motion. That needs to be fixed and a clear message sent to the Board.
CIRA is a Not For Profit corporation. The Canada Not For Profit Act is clear. The Board is accountable to its members and must act in public interest. CIRA manages the ".ca" domain as a public resource and not a private one. Canada can withdraw that right on 90 days notice.
Is the CIRA Board concerned that its members and the public will know that the CEO isn't being paid enough? Or too much?
CEO compensation at CIRA should not be a secret. CEO compensation is disclosed for all publicly listed companies and many Not For Profit corporations as well.
CIRA should act in public interest and not self interest.
