Why does CIIS need student emails?

1 - Credibility

Other academic institutions that are unfamiliar with our school always question CIIS’ credibility. An email ending with .edu gives official credibility to individual students when contacting other academic institutions, without them having to do research to see if we are accredited. This is also applicable to any type of research graduate students pursue, some of which is required.

2 - Authority

When contacting professionals, an .edu email gives institutional authority to back the students with their scholarly inquiries.

3- Financial Benefits

There are benefits students can receive from businesses that require students to have an .edu email. For example, Amazon Prime shipping, Prezi educational presentations, and many more, require an .edu email to receive student discounts.
