🐬 Shut Down the Dolphin Prison at Hyatt Hotel🐬

Hyatt Ziva Cancún keeps six adult dolphins confined in a shallow, concrete tank built in the 1980s for the sole purpose of tourist entertainment.

• This is not education.
• This is not conservation.
• This is exploitation and abuse.

The dolphins are:

• Exposed to hotel noise and artificial lights 24/7.
• Held in visibly dirty water, which has reportedly caused bacterial skin infections in dolphins, hotel staff, and guests.
• Denied shade, enrichment, and a natural environment.
• Displaying clear signs of psychological distress.

We demand Hyatt Hotel:

• Shut down the dolphinarium in Cancún and make a commitment to not support this cruel industry anymore.

And we call on Mexican authorities to:

• Begin the transition toward true sanctuaries for dolphins freed from dolphinariums, places of genuine recovery, not further confinement or exploitation.

Dolphin captivity is outdated, unethical, and indefensible.

Major tour operators have cut ties with these attractions.

Hyatt must do the same or face mounting global pressure.

Hyatt Ziva Cancún mantiene a seis delfines adultos confinados en una alberca de concreto, poco profunda, construida en los años 80 — con el único propósito de entretener a turistas.

• Esto no es educación.
• Esto no es conservación.
• Esto es explotación y abuso.

Los delfines son:

• Expuestos al ruido constante del hotel y a luz artificial las 24 horas del día.
• Viven en agua visiblemente sucia, que ha provocado infecciones cutáneas bacterianas en delfines, personal del hotel y huéspedes.
• No tienen sombra, enriquecimiento ni un entorno natural.
• Muestran signos claros de angustia psicológica.

Exigimos al Hotel Hyatt:

• Cierre el delfinario en Cancún y que se comprometan a no apoyar más esta cruel industria.

Y hacemos un llamado a las autoridades mexicanas para que:

• Inicien una transición nacional hacia santuarios reales para delfines liberados de los delfinarios — espacios enfocados en la recuperación y la dignidad, no en más encierro ni uso comercial.

El cautiverio de delfines es obsoleto, anti-ético e indefendible.

Grandes operadores turísticos ya han roto lazos con estas atracciones.

Hyatt debe hacer lo mismo o enfrentarse a una creciente presión internacional.
