The Issue

I am a sweepstakes envelope writer and Chumba player who has been wrongly accused of violating 3.3 and 3.4 clause of Chumba's sweepstakes rules by Chumba Casino, despite having done nothing wrong. The casino refuses to specify what the alleged violation was, and instead hide behind Terms and Conditions which lack transparency for players. Ever since Chumba implemented postal codes into the sweepstakes entries, the writers are being setup for mass deactivations every time credits drop instead of entries being voided, like Chumba states in their 3.3 Sweeps Rules. There seems to be no more rejections/voids when credited sweeps coins, only deactivations. Chumba used to adhere to the sweepstakes laws, but as of late, are being dishonest with their writers/players. Chumba does not take into consideration that these writers/players invest time and money to write these entries. The sweepstakes writers are the reason Chumba Casino can operate legally in the United States.

Chumba Casino operates as an online social gaming site, offering sweepstakes entries to its users. However, there have been numerous complaints about the company's lack of accountability and transparency when it comes to these sweepstakes entries. Many players like myself are left in the dark about why their accounts are deactivated or why they're accused of violations. When players are emailing Chumba, they either get no response, get a vague response with no clarification, or get a straight deactivation. It seems like Chumba is purposely deactivating writers and not abiding by the sweepstakes laws governing it and therefore, should be penalized if they don't operate legally in the United States. Therefore they are operating as a regular online casino and not a sweepstakes casino, which is considered illegal.

Sweepstakes writers should not be afraid that they will be deactivated at any time if they are abiding by the Sweepstakes Rules set forth by Chumba Casino. As of right now,  Chumba's Terms and Conditions state Chumba can deactivate at any time for any reason which seems unreasonable when we are already taking the chance of playing our own money and taking our valuable time to write envelopes. Chumba is stating the only way to dispute any type of deactivation is through arbitration. This does not favor the writer because it's a long dragged out process and the writers are at the will of Chumba. Also, when the sweepstakes writers/players are voicing out their concerns through Chumba's Facebook forum or YouTubers, such as Brian Christopher and LadyLuck, they are conveniently blocked or their comments are deleted so no other players can view negative viewpoints about Chumba, only the positive viewpoints. This is a tactic to lure unsuspecting players onto the platform without truly knowing all opinions from the players only the favorable ones.

This is not just about me; it's about all the other players who have experienced similar situations with Chumba Casino. It's time for this company to be held accountable for its actions and provide clear explanations when accusations are made against its users.

We demand that Chumba Casino reactivate wrongly deactivated accounts, credit all outstanding envelopes, clarify their Terms and Conditions regarding sweepstakes entries, and be transparent with their players when issues arise. Some of us have lost trust in VGW and want a full refund all unused gold coins purchased since we were not able to use due to the deactivations. VGW is not following the laws of a Sweepstakes Casino and are operating illegally by not honoring the sweepstakes rules in the United States.
