Enough is Enough. Unmask Our Children.

We The People of San Diego County hereby revoke consent to the use of face coverings of any kind for children while at school (or anywhere) in accordance with CDPH Masking Guidance and OCHCA Guidance for K-12 Schools, as well as Federal and State Laws. 

By agreeing to (1) host the Super Bowl of approximately 70,000 attendees on February 13, 2022, and (2) host and attend the NFL Playoff Game of approximately 70,000 attendees on January 30, 2022, the Governor proved “conditions of disaster or of extreme peril” do NOT presently exist in California - which means there is no State of Emergency.  Since there is no State of Emergency, all mandates, guidance, guidelines, recommendations, policies, procedures, etc. arising out of or relating to the State of Emergency no longer exist.  Therefore, the mask mandates are not supported legally or otherwise.

Our children have been deprived of breathing freely for six to eight hours each day, five days a week. Being forced to breathe in their own waste through these masks has resulted in significant psychological, physiological, and psychosocial harms to our children. 

Children need to breathe freely! Stop this ABUSE!

Over the past year, data shows that referrals to speech and language therapists have increased by between 25 to 300%, depending on locale. Younger children have suffered a 24% cognitive decline due to a combination of prolonged isolation, anti-social distancing and universal masking of faces. Mental health issues in our young children such as anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation have skyrocketed due to these restrictive “safety” measures.  This catastrophe in both cognitive development and mental health is entirely man-made and due to the failings of adults, particularly those in leadership positions, such as our public health officials and school officials who opted to “follow orders” blindly.

Mask mandates are being lifted across the country, and yet California insists on maintaining the mask requirements on our kids - WHY?! Why do California “leaders” refuse to acknowledge the blatant hypocrisy? The trust in government leaders, public health officials and local schools districts is BROKEN in the State of California - especially in the County of San Diego.   This must end now!  Our school boards and local leaders must respect and uphold each family’s RIGHT to make medical decisions for themselves and their children.

With a mountain of scientific literature, legal precedent and empirical evidence from other school districts that support mask-free or mask-optional policies throughout the United States, you have our support to take bold steps toward moving our schools back to normalcy IMMEDIATELY. It’s time to right these egregious wrongs. We must take action to salvage our children’s mental health and overall wellness.

Do the right thing. DO IT NOW. Unmask our kids.
