Change Cobb County Ordinance Preventing Student From Renting Houses Together

Recently, it's come to my attention that there's a county ordinance in effect that blocks students in Cobb County from renting a house together if there are more than 2 unrelated adults. The County Ordinance is 134.497 (3) as reported by a recent citation that 4 students have received before even moving into the house. The house is listed as a "single family dwelling," despite each of the students having their own room, they've been deemed 'in violation'. This has prevented 4 Kennesaw State University students from finding housing. Currently there are over 35,000 students enrolled in Kennesaw State and approximately 30,000 students need off-campus housing because of a recent increase in student enrollment at the university. Some students are only financially able to afford housing when there are multiple students sharing a house. Many houses are listed as single-family dwellings, even though they can easily be shared amongst four individuals, even without them being blood related. This is an attempt to change the ordinance in order to make it easier for students in Cobb county attending Kennesaw State to get their educations without commuting 30+ minutes.
(*EDIT*)
There is becoming a HUGE safety concern within off campus student housing apartments. Today (10/06/2019) there was a shooting at Stadium Villages. Three people were shot and one of the victims passed away. This is NOT the first instance at this complex this SEMESTER alone. There are other instances at other complexes where students have been put in danger because there are so few options for off campus housing. We need to make off campus housing available for students who want to choose to live in houses instead of living in apartment complexes.
