Agricultural Land Commission Regulation Engagement: What happens next?
“In the coming weeks, a Ministry team will read through all of the comments, then theme and categorize them with help of analytics software. Together with agriculture policy experts, reports and summaries will be created that will identify main themes, as well as specific recommendations and ideas. After our review, a summary of these findings will be posted to this website.”
IntegrityBC will be staying on top of that process and keeping you updated.
Globe and Mail: Pat Pimm’s history with ALC not taken into account
"In his ruling, Mr. Fraser says in dealing with independent bodies such as the ALC, MLAs “should be sensitive to the political context and whether there are broader issues that would make their involvement contentious or improper.” That’s good advice – but Mr. Fraser seems to have ignored it himself by failing to fully examine Mr. Pimm’s actions in the context of the attacks he and others in government had been making on the ALC."

IntegrityBC: Conflict commissioner goes easy on Pimm
"If Federal Ethics Commissioner Mary Dawson found Jim Flaherty’s letter “improper” and if John Duncan knew all on his own that his letter was “not appropriate,” against what measure did Paul Fraser reach the conclusion that emails and other communications from Pimm’s office were just “regrettable misinterpretations resulting from ambiguous language?”

Restoring integrity to BC's tax system: Did you know?
In BC, an individual earning $30,000 a year pays $69.25 in MSP premiums every month. In Ontario, you'd need to earn more than $200,000 a year to pay the same amount under that province’s healthcare tax, which is tied to personal income.
It's why IntegrityBC has started a new change.org petition to scrap MSP premiums and to ensure the measure is revenue neutral by adjusting personal income tax rates, just as nine other provinces do in Canada today.
