Opponents of the provincial government’s proposed changes to the Agriculture Land Reserve may have reason to hope after recently-appointed agriculture minister Norm Letnick reached out to farmers and ranchers for consultation this week.
According to a B.C. Agriculture Council (BCAC) press release, Letnick (who was re-appointed as agriculture minister after the beleaguered Pat Pimm stepped aside for health reasons) marked his first day in office by meeting with B.C. farming and ranching leaders to discuss Bill 24.
