We’ve reached 587 signatures, and I’m so grateful to each and every one of you who has supported Christopher’s Law and this deeply personal fight for mental health reform.

In the past week, I’ve reached out to multiple media outlets—while one declined, I won’t stop. I’ll be following up again today and continuing to contact decision-makers across California. Our voices deserve to be heard.

I’m also collaborating with other devoted advocates, each with their own heartbreaking stories. Together, we’re building momentum, strengthening our cause, and working toward a better system. I’ve created a living document proposal that continues to evolve as we learn and grow - I have attached it below.

But we are far from done. We need at least 1,000+ signatures to demand real change—and I know we can get there.

We must keep sharing our stories, speaking our truth, and refusing to stay silent. If you have a loved one suffering from schizophrenia or psychosis, here’s what I urge you to do:

Share your story in the comments section of this petition. Your experience matters.
Write a letter to your local representative or state senator. Tell them why this matters to you and demand reform.
Keep sharing this petition—with friends, family, coworkers, or on social media. Every signature counts.
Together, we are creating something powerful. Let's keep pushing. Let's make them listen.

With gratitude and hope,
Christine Guess
