With the explosion of MMA, we have a new rising star in our midst that would be a phenomenal feature in Sports Illustrated. 

Pearl Gonzalez is a multi-faceted warrior inside and outside of the cage. She is a testament that hard work and dedication can lead you to success in multiple combat sports if you're willing to work for it. She is a great ambassador for not only Jiu Jitsu, Purple Belt in 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu, but for Mixed Martial Arts as well. 

I think it's time that we introduce the world to a rising star in Combat Sports and show women of all walks that you can make your dreams come true if you work hard.
