Charlotte NC is ready for Wawa.

Let me rephrase that those of us who have enjoyed the best of Wawa are not happy that the closest Wawa in either direction is over 300 miles away. This is a travesty and we need to join together in hopes that the CEO of Wawa Chis Gheysens can view this petition and considers bringing Wawa to Charlotte NC. 

 It's already in between Virginia and Florida so it will also help bridge the brand gap here in the south. Charlotte is a city of transplants about half from the northeast. 

 Some of my Wawa favorites are Wawa coffee, the pork roll bagel sizzli (I'm south jersey raised), and the shorti hoagie. 

 3 areas I would like Wawa to consider.

 1. Ballantyne one of the fastest growing areas of Charlotte home to Ballantyne corporate park, Red Ventures headquarters is down the road, as well as movement mortgage, and of course my company Liberty Mutual. This is where I live and work so of course I would choose the home team advantage first. 

 2. Fort Mill SC high growth and on the border of NC/SC 

 3. Northlake because if Apple just opened a store there...

Honorable mention Huntersville NC as well for Lake Norman.

To quickly address the proverbial elephant in the room and no it's not me even though I am 6'8" lol... it's come down to progressive Charlotte (progressive) standing up for equal rights vs the state of NC.

Charlotte has gotten a lot of press with the state enacting HB2 but Charlotte is a progressive city #wearenotthis and remember it was the city of Charlotte that put the non-discrimination ordinance thru at the local level and took a stand for equality. 

The city of Charlotte has given me so much and I can't repay the debt enough. I have given my time volunteering for American Red Cross disaster relief, NCMOM dental clinic, Time Out Youth an LGBTQ organization which has saved people's lives that I've met literally, as well as habitat for humanity. If I can help bring a taste of home to my new home and it happens that would be awesome. 

Realistically it takes a lot more than just a few people wanting you to bring Wawa to Charlotte and logistically even if you decided to what's a realistic timeline...  a year or two of planning and developing?

My challenge to you Chris is to have a Wawa up and running in Charlotte NC in less than a year. My promise to you is that I will be a net promoter to help facilitate the success of the new store by doing what I do best and spread the word with my personal and professional networks.
