With the passing of the baton from Moffat to Chibnall and the announced departure of Peter Capaldi from the show after the upcoming Season 10, it has been called into question who the next Doctor will be.I would put forth a suggestion--Nikolas Lloyd; Dance Instructor, Historian, YouTuber, and the picture of an eccentric englishman, he would be an excellent 13th(14? the War Doctor muddies the waters) Doctor. His love of History and aforementioned eccentricities, as well as his established experience as an actor(though he tends to have campy, jovial fun when making his videos--again, an excellent trait for a Doctor, no?) make him a prime candidate, but what's more, he's already got a sort of resume--He's made(and is making) a series of videos set in the Doctor Who universe, starring himself as the Doctor. Admittedly, the effects aren't exactly studio quality, but the stories are there, the fun is there, the acting is there, and I find it an excellent idea.So when Capaldi leaves, let's make Nick Lloyd the next Doctor, and let someone with a real passion for history take the reins.
