Penelope, Rescue Right and  Northwind Kennels are unwavering in their dedication to the community and animals in need.

The wealth within the town of Bedford doesn’t include a municipal animal shelter.  (Google animal shelter and Northwind Kennel returns in the search. )   However, this doesn’t at times prevent local residents from surrendering unwanted pets or needing help with unwanted animals

Rescue Right and its facility have served the municipality, the immediate and outlying communities for more than a decade.  The community as a whole has come together in support of this organization. 

With respect, please extend the deadline to  2021 to catch up on arrears.  There is headway and hope this will be achieved.

Rescue Right has always depended on the income from its sister pet boarding business to pay for vet bills, food and caretakers for the more than 500 homeless pets we rescue each year.

In addition to saving hundreds of homeless animals yearly and adopting them into loving homes, Northwind Kennel has provided free pet care for pet owners in crisis due to illness, death, eviction/foreclosure, domestic violence, etc., as well as food and low-cost veterinary care for elderly local residents on fixed incomes, enabling them to keep their best friends.

COVID-19 has decimated income which sustains the facility and the rescue organization.  Please reasonably extend the deadline to Spring 2021 to catch up on arrears
