Metra Electric's, Reduced Student fares should also include college students. The current policy states that only high school students can pay the reduced price and must produce a valid school ID with their ticket. Many college students also board Metra daily and deserve access to these discounts as well because, most college students are either unemployed or making minimum wage and cannot afford full price tickets.

The current Reduced Student Fare Prices for tickets are:

One Way: $3.00

Ten-Ride: $27.00

Monthly: $105.00

The Full Fare Price for the same tickets are:

One Way: $6.00

Ten-Ride: $54.00

Monthly: $171.00

If Don Orseno changes the policy and allows college students to purchase tickets at the same Reduced Fare Price as high school students, it would alleviate their commute expenses and increase their usage of Metra's services. Please support Chicago's college students and sign this petition!
