Hi, my name is Sierra.  I am a nurse and an EMT. I have six children. I am on a mission to get every school equipped with a Lifevac.  The Heimlich does not always work.  We need a back up plan! Also, children and adults in wheelchairs need better options! In my hometown we had a little girl pass away from choking on a glue stick lid and our neighboring town lost a baby to choking on a bouncy ball.  In both incidents the heimlich did not work.  Choking is also the leading cause of accidental death in those over 65 in age. Help me! Help me spread awareness and help me get a lifevac in all schools and nursing homes. Lifevac currently has saved over 400 people! I have personally used this on my own son and it works! Why not have a back up option for when heimlich doesn’t work?!
