We just received a letter from Lee Ann Liska that the meeting has been cancelled. It stated that they feel the meeting would be non-productive at this point. That they have a long-standing policy of not discussing personnel issues.The rest was about Dr. Heger’s replacement, Dr. Post, who is coming here from Mount Sinai, NY. who is an experienced pediatric Neurosurgeon where he completed a spine fellowship. He is board certified with specialty fellowship training in Pediatric Neurosurgery and complex spinal surgery. So he is basically a spine doctor. 

I don't know what the answer is at this point; accept it or fight harder. We tried to be civil & to peacefully voice our concerns. CHOG has proven that they do not care about their patients or families. It is all hospital politics. I personally plan to write Mrs. Liska an email & encourage anyone else who wants to to do the same, LLiska@augusta.edu. (Dr. Post pictured)
