Continue to Stand Up for Food Safety: Speak Out Against Ag-Gag in Wisconsin!

The Issue

I’m a busy mom, raising my family in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. I often buy Chobani yogurt as a snack for my kids between school and their many extracurricular activities.

I’m grateful that Chobani publicly opposed Idaho’s “ag-gag” bill last year. Pushed by the meat, dairy and egg industries, ag-gag bills seek to halt whistleblowers who expose food safety violations, animal cruelty or worker abuse on factory farms. Chobani nobly sided with its customers by taking this position.

Sadly, an ag-gag bill is now being discussed in the legislature of my home state. I’m looking to Chobani, one of the nation’s most influential dairy companies, to oppose it again. Over the past several years it was whistleblowers who were responsible for revealing horrendous animal cruelty and potential food safety concerns in numerous Wisconsin operations.

Factory farm employees were documented kicking and punching cows, shooting them in the face and nostrils with high-pressured water hoses, and dragging them by their necks with ropes attached to tractors. If it wasn’t for brave whistleblowers, these abuses would have gone unstopped.

Please sign my petition asking Chobani founder and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya to speak out against Wisconsin’s proposed ag-gag bill immediately. Share the petition and call Chobani to ask them to oppose ag-gag in Wisconsin at 1-877-847-6181.

Thank you for standing up for a safer, more humane food supply!
