Bear bile farming is when moon bears, otherwise known as Asiatic black bears, have their bile, a liquid substance made in the liver and stored in the gallbladder, extracted. Seems harmless, right? Wrong. The bears are get in tiny, coffin-sized cages and are fed gruel because their teeth have been cut down to the gum and they can't chew meat. Each day, their bile is extracted from a hole cut in their abdomen, which more often then not gets seriously infected. The extraction process is unbelievably painful for the bears. 

This exists in China and Vietnam. Though many conservation efforts have been made in Vietnam, it is still legal in China. Please sign this petition to get it banned.
