Children's Rights Within Schools to be published in view
The Issue
For schools to post "Student Rights" publicly for all students to see on school grounds so to make them aware of their rights and the standard of how they should be treated by school faculty and other students.
Children today have been allowed to be bullied not just by classmates, but also by the faculty that allows it. By continually allowing schools to treat/condition students as though those children do not have equal rights to the law and/or Constitution, schools are not being held accountable for what they allow due to students not being aware enough to take action to report what is going on within school property. These legal issues include:
- Being bullied or school allowing being bullied.
- Assault
- Theft
- Harassment
- Unsanitary conditions
etc.
If students start being treated as human beings with equal rights it will empower them to take action to the important things that make a positive difference. If a school bully is reported to the police and legal action is taken, that bully learns fast. If a teacher abuses a student and it is reported to the board, that teacher learns fast, but most importantly, when a student understands they're a human being and have rights, they learn what really matters. Schools need to be a place for young people to learn, not to condition them to out up with injustices because they have no value. Let's start treating young adults like young adults so this nation can have a future of empowered people that take action.
