Reverse Adoption Decision on Arianna J

Reverse Adoption Decision on Arianna J
The Issue
In January of 2012 a news station in San Diego ran a story on a little girl named Arianna J. She has type 2 SMA (spinal muscular atrophy). They were trying to find a family to adopt her because she is in a long term medical facility. Needless to say b/c of the media attention this little girl found an incredible family. Strong in their faith and spirit that was willing to take a special needs child in and adopt her so she could have the family she so desperately needs. After jumping through hoops through the state, being approved, the unthinkable happened. The state decided this little girl is better off with no family and better in a medical facility long term after the media outreach and the exhausting efforts by this family to adopt her. I am asking for you to sign this petition so we can bring this little girl into a home that will love and support her. Let them know a long term medical facility is no place for a child, that not only is it less expensive to have her in a loving home instead of a hospital, but that the need for a special needs child to be in a forever home makes a world of difference as to who they become as adults, how they see the world, and yes how fast they progress!!! If they do not reverse this decision I fear the worse for Arianna. She will grow up in a cold and lonely facility, deteriorate rapidly, and not have anyone in this world to call her own. No child deserves this. Since when do we institutionalize children? Since when is it okay for them to be shut away from society? Has our America reversed so much that we are forgetting these children are our future!! Pleas help Arianna go home to her preadoptive parents Scott and Barbara Fischer. They already are ready for her. She is their daughter in their hearts. They are Ariannas parents. Please help us make a difference. Thank You.
