Thousands of separated parents are faced with the confusion and overbearing stress of child maintenance. So frequently child maintenance has been taken for granted by the receiving parent, whereby the child(ren) haven’t received any contribution towards their upbringing. This needs to change! With clear rules and regulations put in place, to not only protect the child(ren)s upbringing and wellbeing, but to also protect and secure the livelihoods of so many paying parents. 

The paying parents essential living outgoings MUST be taken into consideration, NOT just their gross salary. So many paying parents cannot afford their mortgage payments through paying hundreds each month in child maintenance payments, with no hope of securing a financial future. Their must also be rules and regulations put in place to establish where and what these payments are being spent on, Be it a form of shared government card to which both parents can see that the correct amount of money is going to the safe and secure upbringing of the child(ren) in question. Or some form of financial statement. No paying parent should be left in the dark any longer not knowing where or what is being spent on the upbringing of the child.
