The new apartment owners at Bangalore face this issue of payment of Property Tax. The BDA and BBMP claim property Tax and do not properly guide how to get PID number / New PID Number and Khata Transfer for their newly purchased property. This area is infested by middlemen and hefty amount of BRIBE is demanded for the above purpose.

One side Government says the potential of Property Tax collection in Bangalore is not porperly tapped, and on the other side, the system is so opaque that the brokers / middlemen / corrupt official  make killing.

We would request the Chief of BBMP , BDA and the Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka to allow the apartment owners to make online payment by providing New PID number for their property (online) , based on Property Tax paid by the Builder. The registration details and previous tax payments are available with these Authorities, still why the apartment owners are forced to run from pillar to post and ultimately forced to pay BRIBE.

Hope the Authorities will help to weed out corruption and make the system in such way that we need not pay bribe to Pay Property Tax.
