Several news reports and articles suggest that the BJP MLA beat up the horse and fractured its leg.

The Culprit should be punished if proven guilty for the following:

• MLA pegged the baton and party workers held the horses whip leading to its injury.
• As widely suggested by the media that the MLA beat up the horse.

As reported by economic times :

"Videos of the event indicate that BJP MLA from Mussoorie, Ganesh Joshi, charged towards Shaktimaan, a police horse, after snatching a baton from a cop and hit the ground repeatedly to peg the horse back. A while later, a BJP protestor caught the horse's whip, making him lose balance and collapse with his rear leg stuck in a railing. His leg broke -- police booked Joshi and his supporters for animal cruelty."

"Shaktimaan's injury is a consequence of events started by Joshi. I was there. Joshi and his supporters had no business hitting him," SSP Dehradun Sadanand Date said."

Political rallies have their own agenda but there should be no tolerance for mob violence and rowdy behaviour party workers exhibit during rallies.

Helpless animals and humans should not be made a victim of mobs anger.
