When a child studies at a school right through, it is the duty of the school to put in effort to provide special coaching and attention to obtain results.

The trend in most schools is to detain or suspend them and make them appear as private students for public exams. This is not acceptable. Most parents have to shell out exorbitant amounts on private tuition, since the teachers are not able to give individual attention due to class size. Parents and students have to face a lot of trauma since the child is at stake if any complaint is raised.

After paying hefty school fees parents are stuck at the mercy of the management.

Sadly many schools have become so commercial. Their focus is to earn more through selling books, bags, uniforms, stationary, excursions and so on and so forth.

It should be made mandatory that once a child is a bonafide student of the school, they must be given the exam hall ticket as a registered student of the school. A system has to be set in place to ensure this and put a stop to commercialisation at schools.
