Ban " Shirk " conference - An appeal to Tamil Nadu State Govt in India.

The Issue

The Tamilnadu Thaqhid Jamad ( TNTJ ) is contacting a “ Shrik “ conference in Trichy – one of the major corporation of Tamlnadu – on coming Jan 31st.

Posters inviting public to tha conference have been pasted, planted, displayed all throughout the state. One doesn’t know how the police or the govt gave permission for such a conference without knowing the meaning of the word Shirk, in a public place. Basically “ Shrik “ is an inner issue of the religion and should be done within four walls of the organization or Religion. But the govt has allowed for a public conference where in anyone can attend.

Using this permission the organizers of the conference have openly challenged the Hindu practice of Idolatry. Many posters are printed with " No to Hindu Gods " putting cross upon it. This conference , we apprehend, is conducted not to teach Islam to its people but to condemn the practices of other religions. The posters are the best example to prove our apprehension.

Not only the posters are  hurting the sentiments of Hindus and Christians, they also promote enmity amongst religions.

Here is the abstract of what the Wikipedia says about Shirk

<     In Islam, shirk (Arabic: شرك‎  širk) is the sin of practicing idolatry or polythe ism, i.e. the deification or worship of anyone or anything other than the singular God i.e. Allah. Literally, it means ascribing or the establishment of "partners" placed beside God. It is the vice that is opposed to the virtue of Tawhid (monotheism).[1]

Within Islam, shirk is an unforgivable crime if it remains unpardoned before death: Allah may forgive any sin if one dies in that state except for committing shirk.[1][2]

The word širk comes from the Arabic root Š-R-K (ش ر ك), with the general meaning of "to share".[3] In the context of the Quran, the particular sense of "sharing as an equal partner" is usually understood, so that polytheism means "attributing a partner to Allah". In the Qur'an, shirk and the related word mušrikūn (مشركون), — those who commit shirk and plot against Islam — often refer to the enemies of Islam (as in verse 9.1–15) >

We enclose h/w some posters of TNTJ for promoting the conference in public.

We wish the authorities tho go thru the contents of the posters, motive of the Conference and issue an immediate ban on the conference
