Solutions and our demands:

• We demand that the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 should be implemented strictly as soon as possible.
• Please identify and allocate proper land for waste and disposal facilities to Municipal corporation kapurthala as per provisions of 12(a) of Solid Waste Management Rules 2016.
• Remediate legacy dumpsites.
• Plastic should be banned. Dry waste and wet waste should be separated at source.
• Compost making process should be adopted for wet waste, so that no harm Greenhouse gases are released into environment.
• Sweepers and MC sweepers/ cleaners should get proper safety equipments and timely salary.

• Waste should be treated, separated, segregated before going to landfill as per NGT Guidelines.
