Dear Shri Oomeen Chandy,

The Kannur International Airport was conceived to be the bigest Airport in Kerala with a Runway of 3950/4000 m The 1st stage it was planned 3400 m and then to 4000 ...But now we find that the airport is being down sized to 3050 and no land has been acquired to make the length of the Runway to 4000 m

we request the CM to kindly Intervene immediately and acquire the balance land for 4000 m and make the Airport the best in Kerala.

We all know the fate of Calicut & Mangalore Airport where additional land for extension of runway is not available now and would not like the same fate for Kannur Airport.
