More than 2000 residents residing in different apartments on Shikaripalya Main Road, Hulimangala, Electronics City are directly affected by the terrible condition of the Shikaripalya Main Road. The road was dug up 1.5 years back to lay down drainage pipes and it has not been repaired since then. The road is full of huge potholes and half of the road is completely unusable. Cars, school buses and trucks drive on the wrong side of what is left of the road (just 10 ft is usable), further endangering pedestrians and other motorists. Many people fall on the road while driving two-wheelers because of the rainy season. The main junction on the shikaripalya main road has big potholes on all the road joining there. Since everything is getting unlocked (no more lockdowns) the road is getting busier and dregading every passing day.

We have waited long in the hope of getting the road repaired. The residents also approached panchayat officials to repair the road, but they give an excuse of lack of funds. We don't know where the property tax collected from so many flats is going.

It is high time that the local authority gets the road repaired and makes it safer for residents. I urge the authorities to act on this urgently.
