The proposal of moving the Film City project to Bangalore from Mysore is a bad, ill thought move and reeks of partisan attitude. Heritage city Mysore is an ideal location for movie shoots. With lush green vistas, hills, rivers, many heritage structures and good infrastructure, Mysore is already a dream and much sought after destination for movie shoots. It is a much favoured location for many of the neighbouring film industries. Bringing a Film City to Mysuru will boost the appeal and will help in developing the city as well by providing livelihood and an income source for many localites.

Bangalore is developed beyond sustainable means and adding a Film City will only further burden the already over stressed city. Also, concentrating only on Bangalore will not help the other cities grow and is only indicative of a partisan attitude. DCM should think of other cities of Karnataka too in his development vision.

We would also like to reiterate that having a localite as a District In-charge Minister will ensure that the region will benefit with better insight and better understanding of the aspirations and requirements of the people.

With the 10 lane highway and the recent new flights introduction, Mysore is well connected across India.

We request the Government to re-think and reject the proposal of moving film city to Bangalore from Mysore.
