We all want the air around us to be clean and want a safe environment. When we talk about clean and safe environment  I would like to draw your attention to the most dreadful problem which the world might face in coming few years with the’ packaging waste’ as one of the biggest culprit.

Me, as a responsible citizen would like to pose a question to you. What do you do with your packaging waste?

The world is getting polluted at a very fast rate. Who can stop it? Who will take the initiative to stop it? Don’t you think it is we as citizens are responsible to take the preventive steps...? One of the most important things in our life is the packaging material of duds we use in our day-to-day life. Stuffs like even a small thing like plastic pouch of a single pen also can pollute the environment. Plastic is one of the most hazardous and cheap packaging material, but, we all know that it is the most harmful stuff not only for us but also for our future generations. We can reuse almost all the packaging materials like plastics, aluminum, cartons etc. A carton made up of biodegradable material is recyclable and also reusable, but even if it is recyclable we should encourage ‘best out of waste’, which can be used by us in a very effective manner,  instead of throwing it as it results in landfills full of biodegradable material. We use the cartons in our day-to-day life somehow and then throw it unknowingly. Let me give you some ways through which we can stop this from getting wasted and dumped. We can use the cartons to keep our things like pencils, pens, stationary etc. We can use cartons to store things that are seldom in use.  We can also sell it to the packers and movers as they are in need of cartons for packing the goods to be transported from one place to another. It will be immediate reusing of material as well and saving more cartons from being manufactured and being discarded to be dumped. Gift papers also are increasing the pollution levels of land because when the gift is wrapped in a cellophane or plastic gift wrap, the gift wraps are always thrown away.  Instead of throwing we can keep it neatly to be used for any other gift to be wrapped or for some other purpose.  There are many more things we use in our daily lives which we can reuse and encourage for recycling to reduce wastage in the world ending in landfills. I can assure you that after doing so you we will feel content and happy as we will be giving in our bit towards safe and clean environment.
