We understand the issues faced by daily wage labourers and people who need to step out to earn their daily bread but what we don't understand are namesake curfews in place to keep people off the streets in Goa but in clubs, restaurants, casinos and other "indoor" spaces. 

Being a 3-year-old group of voluntary health workers, we have never seen our ONLY public hospital go through such devastation in a matter of months! Our kids with cancer are affected, their parents, our doctors, nurses and healthcare workers. And worst, we have exhausted our basic health essentials like oxygen or a vacant bed to lie on.

We urgently need:
1. A full lockdown in place with only essential services (Refer to policies adopted by our neighbour - Maharashtra)
2. Direct relief support to daily wage earners, in form of food and cash support
3. Free vaccinations to all essential workers including those in hospitals, plants producing essential goods, pharmacies, grocery workers etc.

We are no doubt in crisis and our only public infrastructure is on fire! Bring in a lockdown or "highest ever reported" will be a daily statement.
