A meeting chaired by Union Finance Minister on a Sunday to meet realty industry players and subsequently fight for RERA only signifies the intensity of the problems. Realtors have conveniently swindled off HB money in a collaborative loot mechanism by corrupt bureaucrats(under tutelage of corrupt ministers), cheating in DNA builder community and ofcourse greedy and ruthless bankers and a key issue is funds to get the delayed projects restarted. Creation of a Stress Fund was also discussed which is a key trequirement from centre to get started.

We only hope this menace which has been crippling our society is removed for ever. Clearly, besides HB robbed off theur life time savings, the economic slow down with a sluggish real estate sector will only catalyse unemployment and a multiplier effect on downturn.
