Till the filth in India's real estate industry is cleansed and cheat builders who have siphoned off your older generation money in connivance with corrupt bureaucracy and politicians and bankers, please hold on to your money. Unless it is a TATA, Godrej, Shobha etc or other very reputed builders with a proven track record, please stop buying homes or entertaining thoughts also as likely your hard earned money will be siphoned off. Let a semblance of order set in in this filthy real estate sector before you take any step. Stay in rented homes as atleast your money is safe till the dust settles down!
