As of 11th August 2020, the Ministry of Environment received 17 Lakh mails on the #EIADraft2020. They have NOT withdrawn the horrid proposal.
I've made a very thought-provoking film dedicated to the Ministry. They do not seem to understand the gravity of the situation.
This year we faced floods in Bihar, Assam, Kerela and Rajasthan. Kolkata witnessed the super-cyclone Amphan, while Mumbai floods keep growing worse every year.
The new EIA Draft 2020 will lead to immense food crisis as rainfall will become erratic. The construction of huge dams will add to rivers drying up, causing the local communities to sink in poverty. Big private companies will control the water and grain. We will be enslaved by their rule.
