Hello Planeteers,

Nature is our Mother. It is our connection with the great unity of all living and non-living creation on this planet.

Today we are holding a Twitter Storm against the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. (MoEFC).

What is a Twitter Storm?

It's a tactic to have posts ready with the same hashtag and flood social media on a particular time and date to raise awareness on an issue.

As I've been following the environmental legislation news of our Government, I can conclude that it seems they have no interest to protect our forests and local communities.

The latest draft of the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) notification 2020 is going to replace the EIA notification 2006 that regulates the environment clearance given by the national government for projects such as dams, mining, thermal power plants, infrastructure projects like highways, ports, airport and big construction projects.

It does not just affect the Dibang Valley Hydo-Power Project, but hundreds of other controversial projects which degrade nature and causes human suffering. As citizens, we will NOT be able to voice our CONCERNS. This is against our democratic rights.

That's why it's important to RAISE AWARENESS & CLAIM OUT RIGHT!

The this document has all the tweets designed with relevant hashtags. All we need to do is to tweet on Tuesday, 23rd June from 6 pm to 8 pm. You could also share on Facebook!

Here is a tweet to share:

Experts warn the Etalin Project would greatly increase risk of earthquakes and landslides, not to mention the huge loss of biodiversity! This wouldn’t happen if we had strong EIA laws! #WithdrawEIA2020 #EIAForGreenIndia @moefcc @PrakashJavdekar @PMOIndia #SaveDibangValley

We need to come together now, more than ever. Our world is at the brink of environmental collapse, it's important that humans understand that our current habits of consumption will make the planet inhabitable for us and thousands of species.

WHEN WE SEE LAND AS A COMMUNITY TO WHICH WE BELONG, WE BEGIN TO USE IT WITH LOVE AND RESPECT.

Let stand up and not let them take away our rights and abuse Our Mother.

Thanks & Regards,
