To the Honorable Chief Justice of India,

Respected Sir,

The TTD board announced that they are closing the Holy Shrine Tirumala Devasthanam from August 9th-2018  to August 17 -2018 for the public due to the upcoming ' Maha Samprokshanam " ceremony.

This ceremony is performed once in 12 years and so far  on no occasion they have closed the temple for public.

The recent activities in Tirumala, especially after Mr. Putta Sudhakar Yadav has become the TTD's chairman are causing upheavals in Hindu community. Mr Yadav himself is affiliated to Christian organizations and is trying to promote Christianity in Tirumala. After becoming its chairman, he unceremoniously removed the chief priest of Tirumala, Sri Ramana Deekshitulu. People protested the Christianizing of TTD but Mr yadav took no action.

Mr. Ramana Deekshitulu has raised questions on serious anomalies in the functioning of TTD   including the disappearance of valuable and costly jewelry and the digging of " POTU " [ where the Naivedyam  are made,]  inside the temple without proper consultations . It is widely believed that he is removed for questioning those anomalies. Now this proposed closing of temple , that too at a time when the noted Lawyer Dr. Subrahmanya Swamy is about to file a petition in SC on the misdeeds of TTD is raising serious doubts about the intentions of TTD. It is also learnt that all the CC cameras will be switched off during the Maha Samprokshanam.

I, on behalf of all my Hindu brothers and sisters, and on behalf of all the supporters of our ancient culture,   request the chief Justice of India , Sri Dipak Misra to order the TTD to  to clear doubts and also give a rare chance to devotees to watch it live.  Also, the Supreme Court is requested to allow random reputed and elite devotees from various walks of life , who are outside TTD,   to watch the ceremony as witnesses to check the proceedings.

Addition to the  Original petition

Though the AP CM and TTD Chairman announced that the temple will be open to public during the ceremony days, many supporters of this petition have apprehensions that the decision can be revoked again . On behalf of all the devotees it is again requested that an order is kindly passed to the effect that the temple will indeed be open for public during those days of Maha Samprokshanam.

Yours sincerely

Janardhana Sharma
