I, like many others, am a life long Sox fan. A lot of us have been here through the 15 grueling years of mediocracy. We now have a legitimate, elite, championship level roster, credit to Rick Hahn. They then fired Rick Rienteria to obtain a manger that was more connected with the new era of baseball, has RECENT championship experience, and someone who can connect to this young roster. Tony La Russa checks none of those boxes. After his second DUI people around the game are questioning his decision making, one of the things that got Renteria fired. The White Sox currently have one of the most exciting talented young rosters, yet they are still the laughing stock of the league because of this hire. There are already free agents claiming that no amount of money is worth playing for Tony La Russa. Tony La Russa needs to step down, or the front office needs to intervene. This hire is detrimental to the franchise.
