Recently, Chicago Public Schools has switched their grading system from Gradespeed to Aspen. Aspen is confusing and convoluted, and it takes much more time to find the same information. It is hard to access your grades and adds a lot of useless information like the official Chicago Public Schools twitter feed, which no one needs in their gradebook. The old gradebook was simple and easy to use, while this one creates unneeded frustration within users. By switching back to gradespeed, students will again be able to see their grades and their assignments easily without sifting through pages of unneeded information to get where they want to go.
