I'm reaching out with a heavy heart, but also a firm resolve. It's been said that there is a suspected serial killer in Chicago who's been operating since the 90s, targeting Black women, particularly from the south and west sides. This issue affects our community deeply, and it's unacceptable that nothing has been done to address it over such a long time.

Why don't we have a profile for this alleged killer? If this has been going on for decades, it’s time for some answers. We need to demand that the Chicago Police Department, together with criminologists and specialists, develop a detailed profile to identify and apprehend this person or persons responsible. Profiling is a crucial step in identifying patterns that can lead to an arrest.

Our community is constantly on edge, with over 51 bodies connected to this pattern. If we can pull together resources to develop a robust profile, we might finally get some justice for the victims and their families. This isn't just about one person; it's about systemic issues that result in these cases being overlooked because the victims are Black women.

We need the Chicago Police Department and surrounding counties like Cook County and Will County to unite with Illinois criminology experts and create an actionable, detailed profile. Every piece of information matters, from determining race, age, and likely background, to using advanced technology like DNA analysis. We cannot overlook these killings any longer.

It’s about time that we break the silence and demand justice and safety for Black women in Chicago.
