Chester-Le-Street Railway to be Less Accessible

Chester-Le-Street Railway to be Less Accessible
The Issue
People taking their own lives by jumping into an oncoming train at Chester-Le-Street train station happens way too often. There is no security, no people at night time and no deterrence. Most recently Ben Whiteman who took his life at Chester-Le-Street train station.
All it takes is one person or deterrent to save someone’s life. There needs to be 24 hour survaillence at this train station as there is nothing like this at the minute which is leading to people easily taking their own lives. Whether this security is a person, barriers or having to show your ticket before entering the station, something needs to change.
