Dress code is sexist and contributes to rape culture. Dress code teaches kids and teens that females bodies are objects that should be hidden; teaching kids expecally young girls this is harmful to self esteem,self image and self worth. I understand some parts of dress code but other parts are unnecessary. We should be teaching boys to not see females bodies as distracting objects, not teaching girls that they have to hide their body so guys can get an education. If dress code was changed girls would become more body confident and most likely be more comfortable at school.
