No School For All of Cherry Creek School District after the day of Halloween

Halloween should be a time for kids to enjoy themselves and live their lives. They shouldn’t have to worry about how long they are out trick-or-treating because of school the next day. The only time limits they should have should be set by their parents/guardians.

That being said, Halloween is always followed by a school day in the Cherry Creek School District (unless Halloween falls on a Friday or Saturday). This should not be the case. We aren’t asking for that much time off. Just a singular day after Halloween so kids can relax after an exhausting night of collecting candy all around their neighborhood.

Of course, this request isn’t expected to be implemented for the current 2019-2020 school year. I personally would like to see this change in effect no later than the 2022-23 school year. CCSD should absolutely make this change, and it can be done with your help.
