Freedom of Information Acts(FOIA) are self explanatory, they are rights of citizens, officials, and press to petition government bodies to release information so that financing and policies are transparent. Freedom of Information Acts protect governments from being infiltrated by corrupt people and corruption. This is a very straight forward petition. Cherokee Nation citizens must tell Principle Chief Bill John Baker and the Cherokee Nation Tribal Council members to stop looking into legislation and veto anything to remove our rights to information! They must stop these "work groups" and kill this bill! The laws in place now-the FOIA- have done a perfect job of keeping our Nation solvent and have we have an excellent financial record. It is nefarious and lying to citizens to obscure our right that enables us to watch what happens in our government by saying this is an important issue that needs to be changed.
