The Issue

The Problem:

After a wonderful end of the 24/25 season with the winning of the Club World Cup, many fans thought Cheslea F.C. was back where we belong: at the top.

Unfortunately, the club is now at a tipping point. As other clubs become stronger in the Premier League and across Europe, we cannot afford to let egos and cowardice hold us back. This club, these players, and us fans deserve so much more, and it is time that the ownership and sporting directors deliver that.

Since taking over ownership, fans have endured the following:

  • A lack of stability evidence by 4 permanent managers and 2 interim managers in 3.5 years
  • Contract extensions for Sporting Directors, Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, despite their role in hiring managers that have evidently not worked
  • Worrisome comments from past managers about micromanaging and shadow management from higher-ups

As a result, there is, understandably, extreme uncertainty and doubt from the fanbase over the progress and the future of the “project” at Chelsea F.C. Fans can only be patient and trust the process for so long when there has been a glaring lack of stability and communication from those actually making decisions at the club

What the fans are asking for:

A live press conference with the sporting directors and ownership clarifying the following:

  • WHAT the project is
  • The division of power in the club
  • The process for decision making in different aspects (i.e. transfers, on-the-field management, player minutes management, etc.)
  • Clarity of what role a manager plays in the project

There has been too much hiding behind press briefs and journalists. Those in charge need to personally stand behind their words instead of letting our managers face questions alone.

This is not about the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Mauricio Pochettino, and Enzo Maresca. This is about earning the trust of the fans back after what can only be described as a tumultuous several years. Most importantly, this is about taking Chelsea Football Club back to the top.
