MASS PETITION AGAINST INJUSTICE & FALSE ALLEGATIONS ON INDUSVIVA & DIRECT SELLING-INDIA

MASS PETITION AGAINST INJUSTICE & FALSE ALLEGATIONS ON INDUSVIVA & DIRECT SELLING-INDIA
The Issue
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are Direct Sellers associated with IndusViva. Some of us just started our career with IndusViva, and some of us have been with them for years. But one thing in common is that we have used at least one of their premium quality product and are satisfied with IndusViva’s health supplements. After experiencing its practical benefits, we were astonished.
The products of IndusViva are attested with Ayush Premium Certification under the Govt. of India. When we learnt that we could build our career by selling and promoting these products, it inspired us to take up this as our career with confidence. We even did our due diligence before starting the business and while building our business. Here are some of the information we learnt regarding this industry:
1. Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Govt. of India has issued Direct Selling Guidelines- 2016, complying with which a direct selling company and its direct sellers shall conduct direct selling business in the country.
2. Various state Governments have issued Direct Selling guidelines, including the State of Telangana, complying with which a direct selling company and its direct sellers can operate their business in the respective states.
3. We were convinced about the authenticity of this industry after watching the videos about the scope & legitimacy of the Direct Selling Industry by the Former Minister of Consumer Affairs (Govt. of India) Late. Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs (Govt. of India) Shri Anurag Thakur, Chief Executive Officer of NITI Ayog Shri Amitabh Kant (IAS) and various responsible political leaders & responsible office bearers.
4. Govt. of India made Direct Selling Industry a legal, economic activity by incorporating the same in the "Consumer Protection Act-2019".
5. There is a state-appointed Nodal Authority to monitor a direct selling entity and its direct seller’s activities; and a direct seller could learn on the does and dont’s of Direct Selling from Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation, under the Ministry of Finance, Government of Kerala.
All of the above facts boosted our confidence further. IndusViva helped us stick with this industry to build our careers. We invited many of our friends and loved ones to make the best career, trusting the Indian Government. Our business with IndusViva is the only source of income for most of us. It is what puts bread on the table for our families. Even during the Covid pandemic lockdown when lakhs of people were alarmingly losing their jobs, we at IndusViva survived comfortably. This sustenance was possible because of the income we merited by selling the premium quality products of IndusViva.
However, the Telangana Police have recently alleged that our company is operating a money chain business & duped 10 lakh people. These allegations were made public backed by only one single complaint. All the while conveniently ignoring the lakhs of people besides us Direct Sellers, who consume the products and are immensely satisfied with all the company's products and operations.
As part of the investigation, the company's top management and some of its senior direct sellers have been detained, and the company bank accounts have been on freeze. This event has tarnished the entire industry's reputation in the minds of our families and the general public. In turn, we are all experiencing debilitating stress and psychological anguish as our future remains unsure.
We are appealing to the Police not to take discriminative and disproportionate action to halt the company's day-to-day functioning. We humbly request that the company's bank accounts from which our hard-earned commission payments are initiated not be frozen. We urge the Police not to arrest people engaged in the Direct Selling industry who comply with the Central & State Guidelines.
Finally, we request your support to end this allegation by signing this petition. In doing so you are showing your solidarity with the Indian Direct Selling Industry and IndusViva. As stated above this Industry is a legitimate one and IndusViva complies with all the central and state guidelines which were conceptualised to avoid the encouragement of individuals misusing the industry. The Police have published these allegations en masse without supporting evidence thus proving them to be baseless.
Upon receiving 50000 signatures, we intend to reach out to the respected Prime Minister and Minister of Consumer Affairs to support us out of this injustice. By signing this petition, you are also potentially saving the lives of lakhs of Direct Sellers whose livelihoods are at stake.
Humbly Yours
