This is a petition to force retailers like Pick 'n Pay, Shoprite, Checkers, et al, to supply their cashiers with face masks and hand sanitizer to help combat COVID 19 and to protect South Africa's most vulnerable. Retail workers, especially cashiers are by far one of the groups most susceptible to infection and are the most likely to infect others. They should be able to sanitize their hands after each interaction, be able to sterilize their PoS areas and should have masks to stop them from contracting and spreading the virus.

These retailers must start taking their staff's welfare and the welfare of all South Africans seriously or face a boycott.
